Venture outdoors with VTS as the mercury dips and revel in the quiet contrasts of winter. Come snowshoeing with VTS and explore a fire tower, stream-side trails lined with enormous Rhododendron and expansive views of the Pocono Mountains and the Lehigh River. Our snowshoeing adventures offer an escape from the crowds and a unique perspective on some classic destinations.

Trip Length: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Group Size: Guide to client ratio of 1:8 with max group size of 16
Hiking Miles: approx. 5 miles
Lunch & Hot Chocolate Break: VTS provides Hot Chocolate, but not Lunch. It is BYO Lunch.
Directions: Exact meeting location and detailed driving directions for each trip will be provided via email.
Weather: There needs to be at least 6 inches of snow.

Join VTS on this snowshoe excursion as we take switchbacks up to a plateau, meander through a forest of beech, gray birch, pitch pine and deciduous woods and fields. We will enjoy picturesque overlooks of the mighty Lehigh River and Lehigh Gorge State Park. Thick rhododendrons and large birch trees shadow large portions of the last trail. |
