Matt grew up in New Jersey and developed a deep passion for the mountains in high school while exploring the Adirondacks in upstate New York. In 2008, Matt discovered climbing and has never looked back. Honing his rock and ice climber skills in the world renown Shawangunks and Adirondacks mountain led Matt to successful climbs on Mount Rainier’s Liberty Ridge, Half Dome, Pico de Orizaba, Cotopaxi, University Wall on The Chief, and winter ascents of Mt. Katahdin. As a certified AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, he enjoys sharing his passion with others by guiding and instructing efficient practices and facilitating climbing trips for others to get out and enjoy the mountains as he does.
Matt works full time as a mechanical engineer. He also enjoys mountain biking, hiking, white water kayaking, skiing, and slack lining.
