Ryan Frey

Climbing Guide, AMGA Certified Climbing Wall Instructor – Lead, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Course Graduate, Wilderness First Aid (Spring 2015)

Ryan Frey grew up in the rolling hills of Lancaster County. He developed a passion for the outdoors through hiking trails along the Susquehanna River and camping with his family. After graduating high school, he discovered rock climbing, an activity that fueled his desire for adventure. Climbing has taken him to the Sandia Mountains (NM), Eldorado Canyon (CO), Seneca Rocks (WV) and to the Shawangunks (NY). And on the weekends when Ryan is home, he can usually be found at his local crags—Safe Harbor and Chickies Rock.

Ryan currently works as a climbing instructor at a climbing gym, where he gets to share his passion for climbing with others. He is looking forward to taking his SPI exam in the summer/fall of 2015 and sharing his passion for outdoor climbing through guiding with Valley to Summit.

Ryan is a member of the Access Fund and the Lancaster County Conservancy.
