Patrick Newill grew up in a small town outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has been backpacking since he was 10 years old and started climbing at 18. He developed a love for the outdoors early on and learned of the incredibly positive impact the outdoors has on the lives of children and adults alike. Patrick earned a B.S. in Mountain Recreation Management and Adventure Leadership at Lyndon State College in Vermont. Patrick spends much of the year as a Grand Canyon Backpacking guide and a rock climbing guide in Sedona, Arizona. Patrick has previously worked as an instructor facilitating team-building exercises, top-rope site management, and high ropes work in Vermont, as well as being a senior climbing instructor at the local gym in Lyndonville, Vermont. He is also a certified ski instructor through Professional Ski Instructors of America, teaching advanced ski lessons and techniques to all ages. When not guiding, Patrick is most often found on a slackline, playing guitar, or stepping into a pair of skis.
