Hickory Run Boulder Field & Waterfall Hike
Set in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains in Carbon County, PA, experience natures wonders during an 8 mile hike leading to the remarkable 20,000 year old Hickory Run Boulder Field (720,000 square feet) and Hawk Falls, a beautiful 25 ft natural waterfall situated in a hemlock and rhododendron ravine. The trails run through sections of beautiful hemlock, beech, and spruce stands and a section wanders through a tunnel of rhododendron. The trails are scenic, modest in elevation gain and a bit rocky, but if you are determined and in fair shape you will have a great recreational workout.
