Chris grew up playing outdoors in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. His passion for outdoor recreation expanded immensely when he attended William Paterson University. There he took several people on the local mountain trails during the day and night to see the beautiful New York skyline.
Chris soon thereafter was hired for an outdoor retailer where he learned various types of outdoor activities. He learned that his biggest passions were in the mountains making summit attempts and traverses, and rock climbing at several crags in the North East region. There he was given the opportunity to teach indoor classes, which sparked his love for outdoor education. Since that day, he has continually taken advantage of opportunities to gain more knowledge and experiences to guide and teach different outdoor activities.
After graduating from the university and moving back down to South Jersey, Chris became a backpacking and rock climbing guide for a local camp. The next stepping-stone in his outdoor career was attending the NOLS Outdoor Educator semester course to master prior techniques and learn new skills.
Now he is pursuing continuous education in supply chain management while sharing his excitement and passion on the outdoors!
